The Ivers family founded Deluxe-Chrome Furniture Manufacturing Company in July 1958 in Gardena, California and established one of the first American salon furnishing manufacturers. Building on their tough Irish-American heritage and work ethics, the Ivers family's philosophy was to take care of its customer by manufacturing salon and spa furniture with care, it has to be durable, and it has to be affordable. In 1997, Deluxe Chrome was purchased by Garfield and its American manufacturing operation and all its employees were transferred and integrated with Garfield's larger manufacturing plant in La Mirada, California.
